In other cases, when it is a sanction for a traffic violation, the suspension is ordered by the prefect of the driver’s place of residence. The prefect then communicates the decision to the competent offices through integrated information systems.

The suspension order based on medical reasons is considered final. This means it is a direct consequence of the medical assessment and not a discretionary temporary measure. The driver can resume driving only after proving that the required conditions have been recovered.
