In the highway code, the term vehicle includes all types of machines that move on roads and are driven or controlled by humans. This definition covers not only cars, but also motorcycles, bicycles, trucks, and other means used for road circulation.
However, not all machines are considered vehicles. Devices intended for use by children are excluded, provided they meet specific limits in size and characteristics defined by regulations. For example, small wheeled toys or simple devices are not classified as vehicles.
Devices used by people with disabilities are also excluded when they are classified as medical aids under current regulations. This applies even if they are motorized, as their primary purpose is to assist mobility rather than function as transport vehicles.
For the theory exam, it is important to understand that the definition of a vehicle is broad, but it does not include every moving object, only those intended for road circulation under the law.
