When a traffic violation causes harm to people, it is no longer just an administrative offense but a criminal act. In such cases, the criminal judge applies both financial penalties and additional penalties affecting the driving license.

If the violation causes negligent personal injury, the license is suspended from fifteen days up to three months. If the injuries are serious or very serious, the suspension can last up to two years. In the most serious cases, such as negligent road homicide, the suspension can last up to four years.
