Infographic: Sledge circulation rules

Sledges and all vehicles equipped with runners and pulled by animals are allowed to circulate on roads only under specific conditions. The road must be fully covered with snow or ice of sufficient thickness to prevent damage to the road surface. This means that the runners must not come into direct contact with the asphalt.

If these conditions are not met, the use of sledges on the road is not allowed. For example, if the snow layer is too thin or the road surface is partially exposed, sledges cannot be used because they could damage the road and create dangerous situations for traffic.

Anyone using a sledge without the required conditions is subject to an administrative fine. This rule is intended to ensure both road safety and the protection of road infrastructure.

For the theory exam, it is important to remember that sledges can only circulate when there is sufficient snow or ice on the road.
