| Licence | Minimum age | What you ride | Theory |
|---|---|---|---|
| AM | 14 | Mopeds โค50cc, โค45 km/h | Dedicated AM quiz |
| A1 | 16 | Bikes โค125cc, โค11 kW | Ministerial quiz (as B): 30/20/3 |
| A2 | 18 | Bikes โค35 kW (not derived from >70 kW) | Ministerial quiz (as B): 30/20/3 |
| A | 24 (or 20 with 2 years of A2) | All motorcycles | With 2 years of A2: practical only |
Higher theory isn't repeated: a licence-B holder wanting A1 or A2 sits only the practical exam, and moving from A2 to A after 2 years is road-test only.
Theory-wise, preparing for A1 or A2 means preparing on the same ministerial database as licence B: signs, right of way, limits, safety. It pays to focus on the chapters the exam loves and that count double on a bike: protective gear and helmets, grip and braking, safety distances.
On SuperQuizPatente you train on the same ministerial quizzes valid for B, A1 and A2 โ bilingually โ with official-format simulations and an explanation for every mistake.
The new-driver rules of the reformed Highway Code apply to bikes too: blood-alcohol at 0.0 g/l for the first 3 years from your first licence and doubled point deductions. The graduated path AM โ A1 โ A2 โ A exists precisely to build experience with growing power. The exam-day mechanics are the same as for B โ see the exam-day guide.
